Last updated: November 6, 2026

In short: madaDo stores your content only on your devices and in your own iCloud account with Apple. We don’t run servers for your data, we have no access to it, we don’t use analytics or advertising services, and we don’t share anything with third parties.

2. The madaDo app

2.1 Your content

madaDo stores lists, projects, tasks, events, notes, questions and answers locally on your device. To make them available on your other devices, madaDo syncs them via Apple iCloud (CloudKit) in your private iCloud database, provided by Apple Distribution International Ltd., Ireland. We as the developer have no access to this data. Apple’s privacy policy applies: apple.com/legal/privacy.

The legal basis is the performance of the user agreement (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

2.2 Sharing lists

When you share a list or project, the people you invite get access to its content (tasks, events, notes, questions and answers) via iCloud. They also see your name or Apple ID as provided by Apple for shared content. You can stop sharing at any time.

2.3 Notifications

When someone changes something in a shared list, madaDo can show you a notification. iCloud uses the Apple Push Notification service for this; the notification itself is created on your device. You can turn notifications off in your device settings or per list.

2.4 Dictation

When you dictate, Apple’s speech recognition turns your recording into text – on device whenever possible. If that isn’t possible, the recording may be sent to Apple for processing. madaDo doesn’t store any audio. madaDo only uses the microphone and speech recognition after you allow it.

2.5 Apple Intelligence

On supported devices, madaDo uses Apple Intelligence to recognize tasks, events and questions and to suggest questions, answers and subtasks. This processing happens entirely on your device.

2.6 Calendar

If you allow it, madaDo adds tasks with a date and events from your lists to Apple Calendar on your device and picks up changes from there. Access happens locally through the system calendar interface.

2.7 Widgets, Siri and favorites

For widgets, madaDo stores a summary of your upcoming tasks in a protected area on your device. Siri shortcuts are processed by the system. Your favorites sync between your devices via the iCloud key-value store.

2.8 No analytics, no ads

madaDo contains no analytics, tracking or advertising SDKs and creates no user profile. You don’t need an account with us.

2.9 Deleting your data

You can delete content in the app at any time. To delete all madaDo data stored in iCloud, go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → madaDo. Deleting the app removes the local data.

3. This website

When you visit do.mada.digital, our web server processes technically necessary data (IP address, time, page requested, browser identifier) in server log files to deliver the site and keep it secure. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log files are deleted after 14 days at the latest. Hosting: domainfactory GmbH, Oskar-Messter-Str. 33, 85737 Ismaning, Germany (virtual server, data processing on our behalf under Art. 28 GDPR).

This website uses no cookies, no analytics tools and loads no fonts or scripts from third parties.

4. Support requests

If you email us, we only use your details to handle your request and delete them when they’re no longer needed (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR).

5. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object. As we have no access to your app content, you manage it directly in the app or in iCloud. You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority – in Austria, the Data Protection Authority (dsb.gv.at).

6. Children

madaDo isn’t directed at children under 14 and doesn’t knowingly collect data from them.

7. Changes

We update this policy when the app or the law changes. The version published here applies.
